I have used Robin for over 5 years now. She helped my husband and I transform our home from the gourmet kitchen to our family room, and then my son's playroom/study room. She helped with selection of paint colors, designed our window dressings, recommended specialty touches like faux paint and custom doors to achieve the look we wanted, floral arrangements, lamp selections and other decor. All the nice things in the house have Robin's name on it within a reasonable budget! With so much success inside our own home, I recently hired her to help me transform a rental property. I consulted with her on paint colors, flooring, light fixtures, and reconfiguring walls to give the place a more open and urban look. The place looks amazing. Working with Robin is always a pleasure; she is professional, stays current, and is very focused on customer service. I highly recommend her, and personally always go back to her for all my design needs.
I was contacted by Lisa Gaynor, owner of Design with Consignment, to help her with the design of her new retail space on Steck Avenue in Austin. The space was primarily a shell with the exception of a small bank of office and bathroom space. We decided on a cool color scheme of gray to make for a simple backdrop to the ever-changing interior of a consignment store. I added a cool chocolate for contrast and the gray carpet has the same fleck of chocolate that pulls it all together. The lighting and architectural details really make this space shine. The ceiling clouds were put in to play off of the round lighting throughout the space. The back one is also practical with plugs to display light fixtures for sale. The space was designed on a fairly tight budget for finish out so we had to produce most of the drama with lighting and paint. Our goal for the space was to reflect an elegant, high-end consignment store. I think we achieved our goal!
