Why Quality Furniture & Decor Matter

It isn’t about the price tag; it’s about the impact.

When we help homeowners curate custom furniture and decor for installation in the final phases of their project, we are often asked why we use a select list of trade-only vendors versus retail (big box store) options. While the reasons are many, we can boil it down to three reasons that, honestly, impact you more than us.

  1. Sustainability

Whether your heart leans toward sustainable materials or you simply want to reduce the depletion of our natural resources, you’ll appreciate the wide selection of sustainable home furnishings that we offer through our exclusive vendor relationships. Just like you, we reveal our true priorities in what, how, and where we spend our money. As much as we can, we choose to work with sustainable brands that focus on eco-friendly, non-toxic products. It’s better for you, better for us, and better for our planet.

  2. Fair Trade & Ethics

There are few things more devastating than when furnishing your home than realizing the sofa you just purchased was crafted by underpaid artisans living impoverished lives overseas. As designers, we analyze the brands we work with to ensure that their manufacturers are reputable and that their artisans are compensated for their skills.

  3. Quality & Durability

When investing in something that impacts your family and quality of life (your home definitely fits that category) you’ll want to make sure your money is being put to good use. While you might not aim to purchase the utmost quality in every area of your project, as your design team, we can map out where you should spend more on quality and where you can spend a little less. Budget allocation is a big part of what we do. We don’t like surprises any more than you do (okay, except for Install Day… we all know how incredible that is!).
